What is Eucharistic adoration?

Eucharistic adoration is the practice of worshipping Jesus Christ truly present — Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity — in the consecrated Host, whether exposed in a monstrance or reserved in the tabernacle. It flows directly from Catholic faith in the Real Presence and is an extension of the Mass itself.

The Magi who fell prostrate before the infant Christ (Matthew 2:11) offer an iconic image of this same impulse — recognising the divine presence in a humble, hidden form and responding with worship.
