Good morning. Today we stand with Isaac in a hard season, watching God bring a harvest from ground that looked uncertain.
Today's Verse
"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him."— Genesis 26:12-14 (KJV)
Reflection
Isaac planted in a land marked by scarcity. He did not wait for perfect conditions; he sowed where God had placed him, and the Lord gave him a hundredfold in that same year. His barns, herds, and servants all increased. Steadfast trust looks like continuing faithful work when accounts are tight, orders are slow, or the pantry seems thinner than usual, believing God is not limited by the season around us.
Steadfast trust keeps sowing in obedience even when the year looks lean.
1-Minute Study: Understanding steadfast trust
Steadfast trust is not wishful thinking or ignoring real scarcity. Isaac lived in a time of famine, yet he stayed where God directed him and put seed into the ground anyway. That is what made his trust steadfast: it held its place under pressure. He did not control the weather, the market, or the opinions of the Philistines, but he did control whether he would obey and work the field before him. Scripture shows this pattern often. Joseph stored grain during years of plenty because he trusted God’s warning about coming lack. Ruth kept gleaning day after day, trusting that God would provide through ordinary labor. Steadfast trust today may mean continuing honest work, keeping a budget, planting next season’s seed, or giving thanks before the increase is visible. It is trust with dirt on its hands.

Prayer of the Day
Lord, when Isaac sowed in famine, Thou didst bless the field. Teach me that same steadfast trust when resources feel thin. Keep me faithful in the work set before me. Let me not measure Thy provision only by the look of the season. Give me a steady heart and grateful hands today.
Today's Challenge
Choose one area that feels lean right now—work, finances, or family needs—and take one concrete, faithful step today instead of postponing it.
