Good morning, and welcome to today’s Hail Mary Daily. We return to the woman at the well, where one conversation with Jesus turned a private shame into a public testimony.
Today's Verse
"The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him."— John 4:28-30
Reflection
At Jacob’s well, the Samaritan woman came for water and left her waterpot behind. After Jesus named her life truthfully, she did not hide; she ran into town and spoke to the very people who knew her story. Her testimony was simple and concrete: “Come, see a man.” In harvest season, when fields and tables remind us of God’s provision, her example shows that gratitude should not stay private. A changed life can become bread for someone else’s hunger.
Testimony begins when you tell plainly what Christ has done, even to people who already know your past.
1-Minute Study: Understanding testimony
Testimony is not polished religious speech; it is truthful witness. The Samaritan woman did not argue, perform, or hide the awkward parts of her history. She said, in effect, “He saw me fully, and I need you to meet Him.” That kind of testimony has weight because it is honest. In Scripture, testimony often starts with direct experience: the man born blind said, “One thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25). The healed demoniac was told to return home and declare what great things God had done for him (Mark 5:19). Testimony points away from self-importance and toward Christ’s action. In everyday life, that may look like telling a friend how God met you in grief, helped you repent of a habit, or provided for your family in a lean season. Like harvest gathered from many stalks, small true accounts can feed many listeners.

Prayer of the Day
Lord Jesus, As the woman left her waterpot and ran to speak, give me courage to tell the truth about what You have done in my life. Keep my words plain, honest, and useful to someone who is thirsty for mercy. In this season of harvest, make my gratitude visible in the way I speak of Your provision. Amen.
