Evening Prayer for Mercy After a Sharp Tongue

Merciful Savior, after a day of rushed words, unanswered texts, and moments when I spoke without kindness, have mercy on me through the cross of Jesus Christ. Cleanse what was sinful, teach me to seek forgiveness where I have wounded others, and let Your Holy Spirit make my home a place where gentle words and Christlike compassion grow again tonight.
