Elihu's Wisdom: Spirit-Led Insight

Today's Verse

"And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, I am young, and ye are very old; wherefore I was afraid, and durst not shew you mine opinion. I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom. But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment."

Reflection

In the book of Job, Elihu, a younger man, steps forward to speak, feeling guided by the Spirit. Despite his youth, he understands that true wisdom comes from the inspiration of the Almighty, not merely age. In our lives today, we can draw on the Holy Spirit for insight, trusting that divine wisdom is available to us, regardless of our age or experience.

Wisdom is not bound by age; it is a gift from the Spirit.

Wisdom, as demonstrated by Elihu, is more than accumulated knowledge or years of experience. In Scripture, wisdom often comes from God’s guidance.
