Dear Reader, Today, we reflect on Stephen's profound act of forgiveness during his final moments.
Today's Verse
"And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep."— Acts 7:59-60
Reflection
As Stephen was being stoned, he prayed for his persecutors, asking God not to hold their sin against them. This act of forgiveness echoes Jesus' words on the cross. In our own lives, we face hurts and wrongs. Stephen’s example invites us to let go of grudges, transforming our hearts and relationships.
Forgiveness frees us and others from the burden of past wrongs.
